Welcome to the Centers for AIDS Research (CFAR) program announcement page. Information to help you prepare an application for a CFAR award is provided below. After reading the program announcement, please contact the individuals listed under 'Scientific/Research Contacts' prior to preparing your application. The receipt date for applications is June 15.

Please go to the CFAR home page for information about the CFARs currently funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The CFAR program announcement, PAR-09-103, is now available in the NIH Guide.

Files providing assistance in the preparation of your application:

The following file is provided in html format:

• The current version of "Advice on Preparation of a CFAR Application".

Files to be used in the preparation and submission of your application:

• A listing of individual NIH AIDS funded grants with number, title, and project officer for your institution(s) can be obtained by sending an email request to Ms. Chau Nguyen.
• The following tables are provided in MS Excel. As stated in the CFAR program announcement, they are provided to assist you in providing the information needed by reviewers to evaluate your application.

Please note the previous table “Anecdotal Evidence for CFAR Value Added” is no longer mandatory. The CFAR program announcement, PAR-09-103 under the Developmental Core section on page 17 suggests to include this table, but this is an error. Evidence of added value is important, but please include this information in the narrative.
