Pathogen Functional Genomics Resource Center (PFGRC)

Bioinformatics

Investigators needing bioinformatics expertise and interested in developing bioinformatics tools in collaboration with the PFGRC staff are encouraged to contact the PFGRC for information and interest in their research project. The Bioinformatics Department at the PFGRC provides software, technical support and analysis expertise to the pathogen community to advance the production and scientific objectives of the PFGRC. As a result of scientific collaborations, several software tools have been released to the community under open-source licenses. The PFGRC makes its resources, technology platforms, and scientific and technical expertise available for studies on developing bioinformatics tools of broad interest and value to the scientific community. The nature and importance of the study, potential usefulness to the wider scientific community, and the availability of the PFGRC resources are used to determine if a project can be implemented. The PFGRC also offers open source software packages.
