Influenza A H1N1 Outbreak Gateway® Entry Clones Now Available, June 5, 2009

PFGRC and Genome Sequencing Center of Infectious Diseases (GSCID) at JCVI are pleased to announce the availability of 29 Gateway® Entry Clones from two 2009 H1N1 Influenza A strains (A/New York/1669/2009(H1N1)) and (A/New York/1682/2009(H1N1)) sequenced by the GSCID at JCVI on May 8, 2009.

Call for "White Papers", October 13, 2008

The PFGRC is announcing a call for White Papers in the areas of Gene Expression studies, Comparative Genomics, Gene Knock Outs, Proteomics and Bioinformatics as well as associated methodologies and technologies (non-Government link).

Three new software packages released by the PFGRC, June 9, 2008

  • Magnolia, a microarray data management and export system for PFGRC microarray users (non-Government link).
  • Ginkgo, an analysis tool for CGH and expression microarray data (non-Government link). 
  • The APEX Quantitative Proteomics Tool, a software tool that computes protein abundance values based on standard liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) proteomics datasets (non-Government link). . 

Release of the genome assembly of Ixodes scapularis to GenBank on January 22, 2008

NIAID has funded the sequencing, assembly and annotation of the genome of the Lyme disease tick, Ixodes scapularis, through its Microbial Sequencing Centers and Bioinformatics Resource Center.

New DNA Microarrays Available Now, Nov. 11, 2007

The NIAID PFGRC has made new microarrays available for P. vivax, V. parahaemolyticus, V. vulnificus and C. jejuni.

Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus annotation coming soon. Assembly information here, March 25, 2008

NIAID has funded the sequencing and annotation of the Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus JHB genome through its Microbial Sequencing Centers and Bioinformatics Resource Center.
