The 129th meeting of the National Advisory Allergy and Infectious Diseases Council (NAAIDC) was convened at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 1998, in Conference Rooms 8, 9 and 10, Building 31, National Institutes of Health. Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), presided as Chairman.

In accordance with the provisions of Public Law 92-463, the meeting was open to the public from 1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. on June 1, and from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 2. The meeting was closed to the public on June 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again from 3:45 p.m. to 4 p.m., for review and consideration of individual grant applications. Notice of the meeting was published in the Federal Register.
