Dr. Kastenmayer obtained her D.V.M. and Ph.D. in microbiology from Michigan State University. She joined the Comparative Medicine Branch in 2003 and is currently serving as the Building 33 Animal Facility Veterinarian and the NIAID Animal Import Officer. She became a Diplomate in the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine in 2007.
