Dr. Perdue obtained her D.V.M. from Washington State University. She worked as a clinical practitioner for ten years before coming to the National Institutes of Health in 1993 as a PHS Commissioned Corps officer. Her first position at NIH was with the Veterinary Resources Program working with non-human primates; later she became the Facility Veterinarian for the 14C North transgenic mouse facility. She joined the Comparative Medicine Branch in 1997 as the Twinbrook II Facility Veterinarian. In 2000 she became a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine. Currently she is the CMB Deputy APD, Special Projects and the NIAID Rodent and Rabbit Quality Control Officer.
Description of Research Program
Research projects are primarily aimed at learning more about the prevalence and spread of murine infectious agents that have been shown to have an impact on research, in CMB managed colonies.
