The Research Technologies Branch (RTB) offers investigators specialized support for advanced biotechnology research. RTB provides access to state-of-the-art research technologies, scientific expertise, and technical support to enhance the research efforts of all NIAID intramural investigators.
RTB develops and provides state-of-the-art research technologies to the Intramural Research Program of NIAID through a network of 10 groups. Scientists in RTB also provide training and consulting on all aspects of the technology including experimental design, laboratory protocols, and analysis of results.
To reach these goals, RTB
- Develops and provides state-of-the art technologies to NIAID intramural researchers
- Provides technology consultation to NIAID intramural researchers
- Provides training to NIAID intramural researchers
- Keeps abreast of new developments
