Requests

Please forward all questions regarding peptide procurement, chemistry, and analyses to Jan Lukszo, Ph.D.

Requests for synthetic peptides and analytical services, such as amino acid and MALDI-TOF analyses, must be made by completing and submitting the Peptide Ordering Form (Excel file, 40KB). Requests for other services require phone consultation with Dr. Lukszo.

Instructions for Completing Peptide Ordering Form

Users must download the Peptide Ordering Form (Excel file, 40KB), fill it out, save it in MS-Excel, and e-mail it to Jan Lukszo, Ph.D., as an e-mail attachment. With the help of Excel macros developed at PSAU, the order will be automatically entered into the master spreadsheet.

The information required to process your request includes:

  1. Investigator(s') name(s)
  2. Building/Room
  3. Laboratory abbreviation
  4. Telephone number
  5. CAN number
  6. Peptide name (optional)
  7. Date of request
  • Peptide sequence (upper case one letter code preferred, without spaces or hyphens)
  • For structural modifications:
    • C-terminal amino acid without any indication will denote carboxyl.
    • C-terminal amide should have either world "amide" (in low case letters) or "-NH2" following sequence (example: AVDFamide or AVDF-NH2).
    • Other structural modifications of single amino acids should also be specified in lowercase letters.
    • Peptide structural modification should be indicated by the narrative description in the REMARKS field.
  • Quantity and purity requirements:
    • An exact amount of the requested peptide, rather than the range, should be specified.
    • Purity of the peptide can be selected by pressing an appropriate button on the form for the standard grades of purity.
    • When necessary, requested peptide amounts and purities can be further specified by the narrative description in the REMARKS field.
