NIAID AIDS Vaccine Research Subcommittee Meeting Postponed

The AIDS Vaccine Research Subcommittee (AVRS), a component of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases’ (NIAID) AIDS Research Advisory Committee, will not meet as scheduled January 29-30, 2008, in Bethesda, Md. The AVRS meeting has been postponed until this spring to provide additional time for researchers to gather the necessary data from which to recommend to the subcommittee an alternative clinical trial design for the “PAVE 100” HIV vaccine study.

Details concerning the upcoming AVRS meeting will be published in the Federal Register.
